So the first one was imaginative and entertaining, not without its flaws, but fun to read.

Like in Angelology you have the continent hopping excitement of a Dan Brown-esque adventure novel.

I found it interesting enough then, but it was stretched beyond reasonable limits in this one, with half-baked Biblical nonsense and a few Russian history facts thrown in to try and make it much more than it should be.

For another richly imagined world with a far more satisfying story, Dreams and Shadows by C Robert Cargill is a fabulous read.
